Making History. Men’s 18th Century clothes – coat, shirt, and stock. Loose fitting coat (does not meet at center front) has contrast lining, flaps, long”-piece sleeves with cuffs, side back vents, and center back slit with button and purchased trim. Loose fitting, lined vest has flaps, low armholes, side and back slits. Both have fronts extending into shaped back yokes and side backs (no shoulder or side seams). Oversized, pullover shirt has collar, front slit opening with binding, side slits, and long sleeves with buttoned cuffs. Narrow hem. A button/loop closing. B front and cuff ruffles, collar has button closing. Stock has back bands and buttons (to be worn with shirt at neck over collar). George Washington.
